Overlanders Collective

Here we go!

I have to admit, the community support has been overwhelming.  A little about myself, I have been a fabricator for 15+ years and before that I was a software engineer.  I know, two completely different worlds.  The past few years has been crazy with everything that has been going on.  So, it finally hit me that I wanted more from life than just working, don't get me wrong, I LOVE what I do.  But I also want to see the world and have some experiences that I've never had.  I bought a Toyota Tundra in 2021 just for the purpose of doing this.  Being a fabricator and having all of the tools, I wasn't going to let to supply chain problems keep me from doing what I wanted.  I started looking and designing something that wasn't out there.   Yes, I know there are racks of all shapes and sizes, but I wanted a modular system that just about anyone could make a bracket for.  I wanted options and I didn't want to be limited by someone else's ideals.  So, I created my bed rack for myself and shared my journey on social media.  Boy, I had no idea how many people would like the system.  I was asked many times if I would build a rack system for them etc. etc.  The answer is yes, I could build another rack but that's not really what we do.  So, I have decided to release the DXF and 3D CAD files under the Creative Common License and will provide the files at no charge.  I do understand that not everyone has the tools and equipment that I have to build this so I will build the items if you want me to.  The DIY'ers have options and if you don't have time or equipment, you have options as well.
